Aungenie Cuthbert

DipCABT

Aungie is a dedicated animal behaviourist and trainer with a deep passion for understanding and improving the lives of dogs and cats. Her journey began at 18, when she single-handedly ran a daycare managing up to 33 dogs, honing her ability to read canine body language to prevent conflicts and ensure harmony. This early experience laid the foundation for her career in animal behaviour.

With six years as a veterinary receptionist to support her studies, Aungie explored various paths, including homeopathy and industrial psychology, before finding her true calling in dog training. Initially trained at a school with methods she didn’t fully align with, she sought a deeper, more compassionate approach. This led her to COAPE (Centre of Applied Pet Ethology), which transformed her perspective and completed the puzzle of her professional journey.

Now a tutor, lecturer, and marker for COAPE, Aungie also runs her own dog and cat behaviour and training business. She works closely with clients to address their pets’ behavioural challenges, blending her expertise in animal behaviour with a genuine love for connecting with people. Aungie believes that building strong relationships with pet owners is key to creating lasting, positive change for their animals.
