This course will help you in setting your new rescue dog up for success with valuable information about nutrition, training and breed specific needs.
You & Your Rescue Dog is a 6-month Online course, no certificates are awarded.
Students can enrol at any time.

What the student will learn
- This course is designed for people considering whether to adopt, or people who have already adopted either a dog or puppy from a Shelter.
- The course covers all the basic information from introducing the newcomer to the family, to his nutritional , mental and physical needs.

- Things to consider before adopting from a shelter, including which type of dog would be a good fit into the existing family.
- Unit 2

- Bringing your new dog home, how to do the introductions to family and existing pets.
- Unit 3

- Mental and physical needs of a dog e.g. chewing, digging etc and how to deal with them.
- Breed specific needs.
- Unit 4

- Training; what to look for in a good puppy school/training class.
